Daily stretch

Your 10-minute daily stretch

Three short routines that repeat every three days and cover your whole body. Pick your level, follow your breath.

Before you start

March in place for 1 to 2 minutes to warm up. Move slowly. No bouncing.

Show stretches with:

Breathe your way deeper

  1. Breathe in slowly. The stretch tightens a little. That's normal.
  2. Breathe out slowly. Let your body soften and ease a little deeper.
  3. Repeat. Each breath out, go a tiny bit further.
  4. Can't take a full, easy breath? Back off about 10% until you can. Then let your breath walk you back in.

Stop if you feel

  1. Sharp, stabbing, or pinching pain, or pain in a joint. Ease out and try the easier version next time.
  2. Numbness, tingling, burning, or pain running down an arm or leg.
  3. Dizziness, blurry vision, or feeling sick during a neck stretch. Sit still. If it doesn't pass quickly, get medical help.

If you have osteoporosis, a joint replacement, are pregnant, had surgery in the last few months, or get dizzy when you move your head, check with your doctor or physical therapist first.
